Luna Thomason Holcomb (1891-) was born in in Texas, became interested in genealogy when she wanted to join the Daughters of the American Revolution. During the 1930's and 1940's, she traveled over much of the South and wrote anyone who might help her with her research.
Scope and Content
The collection consists of genealogical materials gathered by Luna Holcomb and sorted through by her distant relative Griffin Chesser with the help of the genealogist Watson Dyer. The major part of the collection concerns the family names Ingram, Thomason, and Holcomb. Each family name includes any related correspondence, clippings, maps, names and addresses of researchers, and research reference sources.
