Lawrence D. Kesler (d. 1966) was from La Grange, Georgia, and served in B Battery, 6th Battalion, 14th Artillery, I Field Force during the Vietnam War.
Scope and Content
The collection consists of seven letters from Larry Kesler to his parents, John and Catherine Kesler. Written by Kesler while serving during the Vietnam War, correspondences describe his assignment to B Battery, 6th Battalion, 15th Artillery; base camp at Pleiku, camp life, and details of the fighting that took place there. Included within the letters are drawings of a 175mm self-propelled cannon and tank.
