E. Peter Street of Great Britain was a Major with the Royal Engineers during World War II. He met Ann Henry of Macon, Georgia when touring the United States in 1939 as a member of the debate team of Exeter College, Oxford University.
The collection consists of letters from E. Peter Street to Ann Henry that contain descriptions of the war and life in Britain with comments on social and political matters including Franklin D. Roosevelt, Winston Churchill, post war Europe, and Great Britain's presence in India.
