Scope and Content
The collection consists of photocopies of three documents belonging to Benjamin Thomas Brown: one Oath of Allegiance to the United States of America (dated September 8, 1865); one life insurance policy issued by Hartford Life and Annuity Life Insurance Company, Hartford, Connecticut (signed July 29, 1895); and one fire insurance policy issued by Continental Insurance Company, New York (effective October 11, 1907).
