Candace Thurber Wheeler (1827-1923) was a native New Yorker who in her later years helped establish one of the several arts colonies in the Thomasville, Georgia vicinity.
The collection consists of one letter: dated July 20, 1921, "My dear Teddy," signed "C. W.," regarding Wheeler's tapestry. The collection also includes a typed letter from Schulte Publishing Company regarding We the women, and a three page typescript, undated, titled CANDACE THURBER WHEELER, stamped "Final approved copy sent to printer for inclusion in Vol. IV of the Book of Enduring Names."
