Scope and Content
A letter written by Benjamin Harvey Hill to J. H. Scott on 24 December 1862 from his home in LaGrange, Georgia. Hill describes the settling of the estate of N. Tompkins and other financial arrangements noting that "I should like to pay it by or before 1st Jany as by the 8 of that month I leave for Richmond."
