Noble Jones (1702-1775), surveyor, planter, and politician, born in Surrey, England. His son, Noble Wymberly Jones (1723-1805), politician and physician, born in Lambeth, England. Both emigrated to the United States in 1733 as part of the original settlement of Georgia. Noble Wymberly Jones' son, George Jones (1766-1838), physician and politician, born in Savannah, Georgia.
