George Fletcher Gober was a graduate of the University of Georgia in 1875. He was a lawyer, horticulturist, and a judge in the Georgia Superior Court. He married Alice Blackwell.
The collection consists of material relating to George F. Gober, including a calculus examination at the University of Georgia, 1875; a printed Latin examination for Professor Waddell's class, University of Georgia, 1875; two drawings - a total eclipse of the moon and a partial eclipse of the moon.
Also, housed in University Archives there are three University of Georgia Commencement programs (1873, 1874, 1875) and Gober's diploma (1875).
