Some of these figures include Governors Vandiver and Busbee and Olympic Committee Chairman and Chairman of Augusta National Billy Payne. Additionally, the fraternity boasts of having some alumni in the Armed Forces, one of which was a recipient of the Congressional Medal of Honor.
Additionally, the Georgia Alpha Chapter of Phi Delta Theta is not only competitve across all aspects of campus life, but is also highly active in their philanthropic activity. Each year the fraternity hosts two major philanthropic events, one of which benefits ALS "Lou Gehrig's" Disease Research.
