The first female Health and Physical Education majors graduated in 1928 with B.S. degrees and the Women's Physical Education Building was constructed. The Department of Physical Education for Women was transferred to the College of Education in 1932 and in 1946 it was combined with the Men's Department of Physical Education to form a single division in the College of Education. In 1995, with the construction of a new facility, the Departments of Exercise Science and Physical Education and Sport Studies were moved to the Ramsey Center for Student Physical Activities. http://www.coe.uga.edu/kinesiology/about/department-history/
