The State Normal School was a teacher training college founded in 1891. In 1932, the University of Georgia incorporated teacher training into its curriculum and the Normal campus was converted to other uses.
Box one consists of issues of The Craftsman from 1905 and 1911-1912; issues of The Delineator; Munsey's magazine; and Metropolitan magazine. Also included are books from the late 1800s such as Paper and scissors in the schoolroom by Emily Weaver that belonged to Mary Creswell's sister, Edith. Additionally, there is also an 1864 edition of German conversation-grammar by Rev. Dr. Emil Otto that belonged to Mary Creswell's father, Alex E. Creswell. Box two holds a press for embossing paper with the State Normal School seal.
