Leland Rogers Alexander was born in Bronco, Georgia. She married Emory D. Alexander in 1921 and moved to Athens, Georgia. Mrs. Alexander enrolled at the University of Georgia and, while still a student, was asked by Mary E. Creswell to oversee the dining hall in Connor Hall. She went on to earn her BSHE in 1930 and MSHE in 1935. By the time of her retirement in 1969, Mrs. Alexander was the head of Dining Halls and Dormitories for the Department of Plant Operations.
The collection consists of five items: a biographical page about Leland Rodgers Alexander; the December 8, 1929 issue of The Atlanta Journal; a "Golden Ticket" from the first game played at Sanford Stadium in October 12, 1929; two photographs of Mrs. Alexander.
