Collection DescriptionHistorical NoteHarry Tate was an early 20th century British entertainer. His real name was Ronald McDonald Hutchison. Scope and ContentThe collection consists of accounts and materials related to the threat of a law suits by Harry Tate against his brother, William S. Hutchison. The matter was settled by a mutual release dated December 9, 1913. Most of the letters are to Hutchison, either from Tate or his legal representative, asking for the release to Tate of all "vouchers, accounts, statements, documents and papers," as well as an insurance policy of Tate's which Hutchison held. The accounts show the receipts and sources of income on the part of Harry Tate, including both an Australian tour and an American tour. Organization and ArrangementArranged in chronological order.
