Scope and ContentThe collection consists of two letters: dated Albany, Georgia, August 3, 1868, to "Charles Lanman," signed "Nelson Tift," regarding Tift's inability to comply with Lanman's request; dated Albany, April 24, 1869, "My dear mother," signed "Nelson Tift," regarding family and friends.
