Captain John D. Thomas was a Confederate soldier during the American Civil War. He later became a lawyer in Bartow County, Georgia.

Scope and Content

The collection consists of photocopies of two items: Verses written by Captain John D. Thomas; and a handwritten obituary of Captain Thomas. Two accompanying pictures of Captain Thomas have been relocated to the Georgia photograph file, ms3705.
