FLUKE collection
Collection DescriptionHistorical NoteFLUKE Mini-Comics and Zine Festival is an annual event held in Athens, Georgia. Established in 2002 by T. Edward Bak, the festival was absorbed by Patrick Dean and Robert Newsome after Bak recruited them to help with the 2003 event. FLUKE was originally held at Tasty World, but after the venue closed permanently in 2010, the festival moved to the 40 Watt Club where it has been held since 2011. Scope and ContentThis collection consists of zines and comics donated by the organizers of FLUKE festival, Robert Newsome and Patrick Dean, as well as zines and comics from artists attending the event. In addition to comics and zines, the collection also includes several official event posters.
