Collection Description

Historical Note

Dr. Christy Desmet (1954-2018) was the Josiah Meigs Distinguished Teaching Professor of English and Director of the First-year Composition Program/UGA Writing Center.

Scope and Content

This collection contains articles, reviews, engravings and broadsides of 18th and 19th Century English Shakespearean performers. Also included are 20th Century artifacts and photographs from Shakespearean plays.
