Collection DescriptionHistorical NoteThe COVID-19 collection was established as an archival collecting project in April 2020 as a way of documenting the experiences of people in the University of Georgia community and people across the state of Georgia in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. Submissions were received throughout 2020 and 2021. Scope and ContentThis collection consists of writings and photographs responding to the COVID-19 pandemic as it happened. Materials were submitted by students, faculty, and staff at the University of Georgia and by Georgia residents across the state. It includes personal essays and reflections, images of pandemic signage, video, poetry, and other documentation of Georgians' experiences with COVID-19 in 2020 and 2021.
