Lewis, who received his Ph.D. in Geography from the University of Georgia in the mid 1960s, took pictures as part of his interest in the physical, social, and economic condition of Georgia. He may have used some of them in his classes either at UGA or Louisiana State University. Scope and ContentThis collection contains 35mm slides showing groups of agricultural, architectural, and social scenes throughout Georgia in the early and mid 1960s.
