James W. Elliott, born in Georgia in 1890, was a theatrical producer and investment promotor in New York City. Elliott was known for his many business ventures, most of which failed, such as Business Builders, Inc. He began publishing his "Man Message" pamphlets when he was only 23 years old.

Scope and Content

Contains 49 "Man Message" pamphlets written and self-published weekly by James W. Elliott between 1913-1919. Pamphlets were geared towards men and offered advice and encouragement to empower the everyday man. Pamphlets include colorful designs and illustrations and are each 8 pages long.
