Collection DescriptionHistorical NoteLeon "Lee" Kramer, originally from Cairo, Egypt, founded High Fidelity SSS in Atlanta, Georgia. It was the first store in the Southeast specializing in home audio-video. His wife, Charlotte Baker Kramer, ran the Atlanta Zen Center for 30 years. Charlotte was the daughter of Fred Baker, a World War I veteran and employee of the Works Progress Administration. Lee and Charlotte Kramer had two children, Lorr and Mya Kramer. Scope and ContentConsists of materials mostly from the 1960s through the 1990s pertaining to the Kramer family from Atlanta, Georgia. Contains documents, correspondence, and photographs related to the history of the Atlanta Zen Center. Includes correspondence from Lorr Kramer's travels around the world in the 1970s. Also includes some of the writings of the Kramer family, as well as genealogy research.
