Collection Description

Scope and Content

This collection consists of a wide variety of maps documenting Georgia. Many of the annotated maps were donated as part of the Marion R. Hemperley papers, which document the the work of Dr. John H. Goff and Hemperley's work on the Placenames of Georgia and Cities, Towns, and Communities of Georgia. These annotated highway maps include information on post roads, forts, place names, boundary lines, church names, etc.
