Collection DescriptionHistorical NoteMarjorie Browne was born to Nina Young and Rhodes Browne in Kentucky. She grew up in Columbus, Ga. and attended Lucy Cobb Institute. In 1914, she married Weyman Strother and they had one child, Weyman, Jr. The couple divorced in 1925 and she married Colonel Charles Almon Hunt. Scope and ContentThe collection includes correspondence from Marjorie to her mother from Paris in 1909-1910, early marriage in 1914-1918, in China in 1920-1921, and 1960s-1970s to her granddaughter Sandra Strother. Also included are genealogical information, estate information, and Marjorie Browne's poems. The photographs include Marjorie Browne, Edmund Weyman Strother, Nina and Rhodes Browne, Charles Almon Hunt, Sandra Strother Hudson, and snapshots from China (1920s).
