Collection Description

Historical Note

Jane Bowden Moore was the niece of U.S. Senator Richard B. Russell. Moore donated the collection to the library after they were given to her by a judge in Virginia.

Scope and Content

The collection consists of six documents issued in various Georgia counties: an insurance policy from Southern Mutual Insurance Company; three land grants; and two commissions to minor public offices.
