Historical Note

Paul Kemper Anderson (1898-1987) served in World War I and attended college at the University of Georgia. In 1929 he married his first wife, Lillian Johnson (1905-1974), who was a first grade teacher and elementary school principal. In 1976 he married Ruth Harding (1904-1994).

Scope and Content

The collection consists of the typescript Preacher's son : A memoir by Paul Kemper Anderson, 1999. Anderson's biographical material includes his life growing up as a reverend's son, memories of his grandparents, World War I and college experiences.
