William Bone papers
Collection DescriptionScope and ContentThe collection consists of correspondence to William Bone, mainly from his brother, Mathew Bone while he served in a Georgia regiment during the Civil War, from Richmond and Yorktown, Virginia. Letters are also from other soldiers who knew Bone, most of whom were in the 16th Georgia Infantry Regiment. The collection also includes: two photographs of Jessie R. Adams and Perniner Harris Adams; the reproduction of a love letter Jessie wrote to Perniner, Madison County, Georgia; and miscellaneous documents including two newspaper clippings regarding Dewey Adams, one lean dated 1873, and an Alliance Warehouse Co. stock certificate.
