(Wesley Thomas) Hargrett (1861-1945) worked as the general superintendent for Gulf Line Railway Co. in the early 1900s before becoming the its general manager in 1915 and president in the early 1920s. Leila Hargrett was his daughter; she later went on to marry and have a son, David Medford. Scope and ContentThis collection contains railroad passes for various southern railroads like the Plant System Railways (1899); Brinson Railway (1910); Live Oak, Perry and Gulf Railroad (1915); Atlanta, Birmingham and Atlantic Railway Company (1916); Georgia Northern Railway Company (1923); the Ocilla Southern Railroad Company (1923), and others. Most of the passes are made out to W. T. Hargrett, General Manager of Live Oak Perry and Gulf Railway. Some of the passes are made out to his daughter Lelia/Leila Hargrett and some include W.T .
