The collection consists of one letter: dated Fort Fidius, State of Georgia, April 30, 1794, addressed to Senator Ralph Izard, signed "R.B. Roberts." Roberts requests that Izard consider appointing Roberts to the Command of the garrisons along the Southern Seaports. He writes "…all these reasons prompt me to request, you would favor me so far as to second my application to General Knox for the command of the Southern Seaports."
