Collection DescriptionHistorical NoteThe Georgia Division of the Society of American Foresters evolved from a Southeastern Section in 1928 as a unit of the national SAF with Georgia, Alabama, Florida, and coastal South Carolina as the member states to Georgia, Alabama and Florida in 1949. The Southeastern Society is one of 33 multi-state/state societies that make up the national body known as the Society of American Foresters. The Southeastern Society is comprised of professional foresters and forest technicians from the three state region of Alabama, Florida, and Georgia. Scope and ContentThe collection consists of minutes, records, officers, correspondence, financial reports, and video interviews relating to the Society of American Foresters, Georgia Division. Also included is a DVD containing Georgia Forestry magazine pdf files.
