T. Baldwin Martin papers
Collection DescriptionHistorical NoteT. Baldwin Martin was a native of Madison, Georgia, but lived in Macon, Georgia. He received a law degree from Mercer University where he was a member of Kappa Alpha Fraternity. He served in World War I as a 1st Lieutenant in the American Expeditionary Force in France. Later in life he was a partner in Martin, Snow, Grant and Napier law firm. Scope and ContentThe collection consists of World War I materials including military manuals, correspondence, orders, photographs, maps, artifacts, a scrapbook, and Martin's diary, from Ft. Oglethorpe, Ga., Camp Greene, Charlotte, N.C., Camp Mills, Long Island, N.Y., and American Expeditionary Force, Europe. All materials were received in Martin's World War I trunk.
