Collection DescriptionHistorical NoteDr. Emma Lewis Lipps (1919-1996) was educated at Wesleyan College in Macon. She worked at the University of Georgia School of Medicine in Augusta, Georgia and Emory University in Atlanta. She taught at Agnes Scott College during World War II, and after the war, she taught in the biology department at Shorter College. Scope and ContentThe collection consists of Emma Lewis Lipps' correspondence from 1899-1970s, as well as documents belonging to her collected over the course of a career. Also included are family photographs, including many of the Truslow family.
