Collection DescriptionHistorical NoteMary Bondurant Warren is a noted genealogist, writer, editor and publisher. She has written over two dozen genealogical resource books, many focusing on Georgia and other Southern states. She has functioned as the editor and publisher of Family Puzzlers, a weekly genealogy magazine, for over 34 years, edits a newsletter, and is an active workshop speaker. Scope and ContentThe papers of Mary Warren document her work collecting genealogical resources and they reflect a wide variety of genealogical topics in the South. This collection focused on Georgia and South Carolina primarily in scope, but also includes other southern states. A considerable amount of the collection focuses on individuals and includes their personal and professional information. Organization and ArrangementThe collection has not been fully processed. It is roughly sorted into 5 series: Names, Georgia Counties, Georgia State materials, South Carolina materials, and other states; it is arranged alphabetically within those categories. Additionally, an addendum was added in late 2011 which was not interfiled with the rest of the collection; it is arranged alphabetically within its own context. A container list is provided for basic access.
