Collection DescriptionScope and ContentThe collection consists of a dis-bound diary kept by Madame Rosalie de Trobriand Gouvain from 1835-1841. Gouvain writes about social life in and around Clarke County, Georgia, the management of her plantation, and her continued financial problems. The collection also includes photocopies of photographs of family members (Regis De Trobriand and Fanny Santiago), correspondence, indentures, and newspaper clippings.
