Scope and ContentThe collection consists of the papers of Wesley Thomas Hargrett from 1889-1919. The materials pertain to business operations of various Georgia railway companies and includes contracts, correspondence, sketches, and printed materials. Topics covered include proposals to extend and connect the Gulf Line Railway Company (Ga.) and the Hawkinsville and Western Railway Company (Ga.) lines; agreements for right of ways between Tifton, Georgia and the Georgia Southern and Florida Railroad Company; and business activities of the Brunswick and Western Railroad Company (Ga.); Central of Georgia Railway; Savannah, Florida, and Western Railway; and the Tifton & North Western Railroad Company.
