Collection DescriptionHistorical NoteGerald Kahan was the head of the Theater and Film Studies Department at the University of Georgia, where he directed many plays. Scope and ContentThe collection consists of notebooks containing stamps on theater history and ornithology. Also included are folders of clippings and materials regarding bird stamps, philately, and stamps in general, as well as volumes I - III of "Standard postage stamp catalogue, 1975," issues of "Curtain Call" from 1971-1976 and April 1978 to December 1979, and a volume entitled, "Birds of the world on stamps." Organization and ArrangementArranged into 5 series: Stamps- Theatre and History; Stamps- Guides, 3 volumes 1975; Stamps- Ornithological; Stamps- Miscellaneous; and Curtain Call (Bulletin of the Performing Arts study Unit of the American Topical Association).
