 Collection DescriptionHistorical NoteThe South Georgia Archaeological Research Team (or SOGART) is a wing of the Society for Georgia Archaeology (SGA). The latter is a non-profit organization devoted to educating the public on the significance of Georgia's archaeological sites in order to promote archaeological preservation and research. The SGA is open to all persons interested in the archaeology of Georgia and works actively to preserve, study and interpret Georgia's historic and prehistoric remains. Scope and ContentThe collection consists of a printing of the first issue of Coastal plain focus, the newsletter published by the South Georgia Archaeological Research Team.
