He was president of the American Medical Association from 1857-1858, co-editor of the Southern Medical and Surgical Journal, and author of nearly 600 articles during his medical career. Scope and ContentThe collection consists of one letter (and transcript of the letter) regarding several of Eve's surgeries and his speculation that Rome will become a "large place."
