Consists mostly of correspondence regarding the publication of his book on the Battle of Kennesaw Mountain; official correspondence relating to his service on the Railroad Commission of Georgia and Good Roads movement; correspondence regarding the gubernatorial races of 1908 and 1911; and letters and documents relating to family lawsuits over the estate of his father, Joseph Emerson Brown.
