Collection DescriptionHistorical NoteFarmer's Hardware Store in Madison, Georgia was opened sometime in the mid 1850's. Originally called the Carbine Hardware Store, it was named for the man who owned and operated it, Mr. P.V. Carbine. In 1907, John L. Moore called a meeting of all stockholders and bought the Carbine Hardware Company and renamed it Farmer's Hardware Company. It is now owned by Ace Hardware.
