Scope and ContentThe collection consists of travel passes, receipts, and a certificate of election to the Savannah Volunteer Guards of William H. McDowell dated 1861-1864. Also included are orders signed by Captain Richard M. Cuyler authorizing McDowell to procure railroad cars, purchase coal, iron, leather, copper, tin, and carriages with siege guns for Richmond, Virginia.
