The collection consists of three letters (facsimiles): dated Crawfordville, Georgia, December 14, 1860, "My dear sir," signed "Alexander H. Stephens"; dated Springfield, Illinois, December 22, 1860, "Honorable A.H. Stephens," signed "A. Lincoln," regarding fear that Southern states have regarding Republican administration; dated Springfield, Illinois, November 30, 1860, "Honorable A.H. Stephens," signed "A. Lincoln," regarding Stephens' recent speech.
