Collection DescriptionScope and ContentThe collection consists of bills of lading for cotton shipped mainly to Liverpool and New York from Savannah, Georgia by the firm Richards & Harroway and later William Abraham Richards, from May 9, 1818-June 30, 1823. Bills include name of ship, ship captain's name, where bound, description of cotton, amount of freight, and date.
