Collection DescriptionScope and ContentThe collection consists of an account book for a livery stable owned by John McLendon of Thomasville, Georgia from 1861-1864. Entries contain the customer's name, type of service rendered (feed sold, horse or horse and vehicle stabled, horse or horse and vehicle hired), cost, dates of service, and date account paid. The book contains a few entries for 1862, 1863, and 1864, but most of these entries are for payment of the 1861 accounts. Ledger includes a name index.
