Scope and ContentThe collection consists of a document dated 2 June 1871 that appoints a board of visitors to attend the second annual examination of the Normal and Prepatory Departments of Atlanta University. It is signed by Rufus B. Bullock as governor of Georgia. Among those named as members of the board are Joseph E. Brown, John Livingston Hopkins, W.A. Hemphill, Dr. S.H. Stout, and J. I. Whitaker. The present document is a true copy by H.C. Courson, Secretary of the Executive Department.
