Collection DescriptionHistorical NoteEunice Williams Reed was born in 1876 and died in the mid-twentieth century. She was well knokwn for being active in the Laura Rutherford Chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy (UDC) and the Georgia Division of the UDC. Scope and ContentThe collection consists of papers of Eunice Williams Reed from 1883-1951. The papers pertain primarily to Reid's work with the Laura Rutherford Chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy (UDC) and with the Georgia Division of the UDC. Includes correspondence, speeches relating to the UDC and the history of the Civil War, printed material, newspaper clippings, programs and scrapbooks. The collection also contains a scrapbook of newspaper clippings and letters (1918-1919) from Albon W. Reed while serving in France during World War I and two scrapbooks of newspaper clippings pertaining to World War II. Organization and ArrangementArranged by record type.
