Scope and ContentThe collection consists of two commonplace books (undated) belonging to Marion Heard. The books contain handwritten words to many popular songs of the day and some very obscure and perhaps locally written songs. An index is located in the back of the first volume listing such titles of "Carolina & Georgia Boys," "Green Old Hills," and "Sailor Boys Carol."
