Collection DescriptionScope and ContentThe collection consists of one bound commonplace book (undated) containing a handwritten index of categories of legal points and methods. Listed are cases, legal precedents, and other points of law to correspond to the categories of interest. The volume is not fully detailed in each area, but does give a considerable amount of information on the legal system operable in Georgia during the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries.
