Collection DescriptionScope and ContentThe collection consists of miscellaneous correspondences and photographs collected by the De Renne family that pertain to a variety of individuals who were active participants in the cause of the Confederacy. The collection includes some correspondence written during the civil war, but the majority is letters of reminiscence and anecdotes from the post-war period. Correspondences are from: Edward Porter Alexander, William J. Hardee, Benjamin Harvey Hill, James Longstreet, Alexander Hamilton Stephens, and Robert Toombs.
