Collection DescriptionScope and ContentThe collection consists of a ledger containing detailed records from the government corrals at Doctortown and Savannah, Georgia operated by the Federal Army of Occupation, Sub-District Altamaha. Chiefly in the handwriting of Lieutenant A.B. Godwin, the ledger lists names of drivers, teamsters, and wagon masters; amounts of grain issued and received; blacksmithing; miscellaneous supplies; and the condition of horses and mules with notes on purchases.
