Scope and ContentThe collection consists of two typewritten reports, "A historical sketch of the evolution of trade and transportation at Augusta, Ga." and "A historical sketch of the evolution of trade and transportation at Macon, Ga.," were presented by E. H. Hinton, chairman, The Southeastern Freight Association, at the meeting of executive officers, 17-18 January 1912, at the Hotel Belleview, Bellair, Florida. The reports chronicle in great depth the development of commercial interests in these two Georgia cities. Each report also contains "A synopsis of the rate adjustment from the East."
